Did you know scientists estimate that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the world's oceans? About half of all plastic produced is for single-use or disposable items such as packaging. Plastic Free July is an independent, non-profit organization that started in Australia in 2011 to promote zero plastic-waste living. Choose to refuse single-use plastic this July by signing up for the Plastic Free July challenge at Plastic Free July. You can start by bringing your own reusable shopping bags, using reusable coffee cups and water bottles, and avoiding pre-packaged fruit and vegetables at the grocery store. By doing so, you’ll be joining over 2 million people from 150 countries in making a difference!
At Rally Rally, we are very excited to announce that we are going to participate in the Plastic Free July movement by donating part of our sales proceeds to Waterways Watch Society of Singapore! We pledge to donate a dollar for every BAGGU bag purchased in-store in the month of July.
Waterways Watch Society is a Singapore-based independent volunteer group established in 1998 who brings people together to love our waters and to inspire stewardship for our environment. They organize frequent waterway cleanup programmes as well as workshops and activities for schools to educate our students in environmental sustainability and the importance of protecting our local waterways.
